I miss my mother today. I miss her often, more often then usual, but today in particular. There have been several moments in my life when I missed her, most recently on my wedding day but I have missed her in recent days and weeks. Perhaps it's because Reed and I are talking about our future and having a family of our own. She's not here for me to talk to her about that. I wore her pearls for a little while today, twisted the studs around in my ears, twirled the strand around on my fingers like I did when she would wear the necklace when I was a child. I miss her terribly today.

It's nice to be back to the routine of work and being in New York. I have a lot of work to do in our new apartment and it's keeping me distracted from being sad on a day like this. A few painters are coming in this week to work on the master bedroom and the living area. I'm doing the bathrooms myself because they're small enough to not mess up and I have some new kitchen appliances arriving this week. Sorry Ben and Johnny, but having a home to call our own is very nice. I know you guys are right upstairs, but that's a world away and Reed was right that the privacy is exactly what I needed. However, you guys should come down for dinner one night so I know you're eating well at least once this week!

Did I hear somewhere that there was a Royal Wedding this weekend? Oops, I was too caught up in my own marriage bubble to notice. OK, I jest. We get cable here and I was able to catch highlights and admire the new Princess' gown. I feel bad for any bride who also got married on Friday and had to hear all her guests talking about the Royal Wedding - talk about upstaging everyone!

I had best put this away. If Reed finds out that I'm breaking my own "no gadgets" rule, I'm sure he'll start pulling out his own gadgets to play with. The weather is gorgeous here - I'm not saying where until we get back, incase it gets leaked to the press! - and we have a perfect view of the sunrise every morning. If we didn't have responsibilities back home, I would ask Reed if we could stay here indefinitely!

It's a lovely day here in New York, and I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter. My boys have already plowed through brunch and I'm well on my way to cooking a fabulous dinner for them. I'm using all of their old favorite Aunt Marygay recipes including homemade mashed potatoes that just might be the death of me. If I survive this holiday, I definitely deserve my honeymoon!

On top of all that, this Easter bunny was up early hiding eggs all over the Baxter Building - well, the floors we occupy. Yes, I live with children. Someone has to spoil them a little, right? I'm sitting here listening to the clatter of feet across the building, shouts when an egg is found and just praying that nothing gets broken and nothing is set on fire. I hid a lot of candy in those eggs, so they are valuable! Of course, I kept a stash of chocolate for myself, but the rest of them will have to fend for themselves!

I hope everyone is doing well, especially our friend at Xavier's who had such a devistating week. We're here for you. Happy Easter everyone.

I woke up this morning and I wasn't lying beside my fiance... no, I was lying beside my husband! Yes, you read right, Reed and I finally, finally exchanged vows last night and are husband and wife! He's my husband! I want to go up on the roof of the Baxter Building and shout it to the city that nothing could stand in our way this time and we are finally married!

Last night was so perfect and I can't thank our friends and family enough for everything you all did for us. Thank you so much for your help in making sure everything looked beautiful and for being there for us. It was a beautiful ceremony and it was wonderful having you all there to celebrate afterwards. No one can say that you all can't keep a secret! That was a big secret you were carrying around and I can't thank you enough for helping me get a certain someone to the alter! The look on Reed's face was priceless and I will remember it always.

We don't yet know when we're going on our honeymoon, though I do have two tickets to get us out of town soon. Of course, with our lives the way they are, I made sure to get traveller's insurance just in case we need to reschedule. For our sakes, I hope we don't have to try seven times before we get a honeymoon.

I'm going to go spend the day with my new husband!

It's Sunday, and in less then a week, I will be Mrs. Susan Richards... Mrs. Dr. Reed Richards... and then soon I will be Dr. Susan Richards. It is really going to happen this time. No joke, I've covered my tracks, and made sure that only the essential people know about this event. So long as everyone stays quiet and no one makes a scene when they arrive at the Baxter Building next weekend, we'll be able to pull this off. Now, it'll just be my job to pull the groom away from his lab for a few hours so he can marry me.
So, now that I'm done with school, I don't quite know what to do with myself. Reed and I need to have a serious discussion about the dynamics of the team. Not that things aren't working well, because they do, but it's time to make things more formal, make professional names for ourselves. Reed has so many good ideas that he needs to patent and even though he's a loud-mouth most of the time, Johnny has the potential to really sell the Fantastic Four name.
However, this will all have to wait until we come back from our honeymoon. I've splurged on a little cottage on the beach on a practically private island in the Caribbean for five days. Reed is going to go mad, I know this, so I guess I'll have to come up with creative ways to keep him away from his computer. Or, maybe I'll just make sure he doesn't bring it along. He could live with just his SmartPhone, right? He's a smart man, he would survive? Right?
This is going to happen. No monsters, mutants, aliens, mud creatures, tunnels under New York, or anything else is going to distract us this time. No freaking way! I'm the bride, dammit! I'm not going to freak out........
